Week 11/12: Reflection and Thinking Ahead
The final two weeks of this module were specifically time to finish off our assignments and apply ourselves again to some critical thinking and retrospection.
There were a couple of forums which were interesting and some great images shared and discussed. The webinars focused on our Practice with some presentations by other students. And we finished with an introduction to the next module, Informing Contexts which sounds fascinating.
This was also the period when I began my new Project on studying Theatre life during lockdown, and how things will progress in the next 12 months. I visited the Exeter Northcott Theatre in Devon and was given access to take some photos of it in its current state of inactivity. These can be seen in my Research Project Portfolio on this website. Whether or not this will run the full term of this course is not really in my hands to a certain degree. I have made all the initial moves and proposals to the people who can help me, but it is impossible to know at this stage whether those ideas will be fulfilled. I do have some other options to fill in the fallow periods, so when not working with the Theatre I can still pursue my capture of performance art, be that in music, acting or any other associated medium.
I am pleased though the groundwork has been prepared, and I now just await the state of the nations health, and whether opportunities will come my way. Iām looking forward in the next module to learn new approaches to my work and that of others.
